COLLECTION AND RECYCLING CHARGES


1. Collection and Recycling:


We provide a cost effective Collection and Recycling service for IT Equipment throughout Ireland.

For a small fee of €30 (can be waived for large quantities) we provide you with a collection and recycling service in the Greater Dublin area for all IT Equipment and Electronic Office Equipment, provided the items you have for recycling include “Computers, Hard Disk Drives, Servers, Laptops, Tablets or Flat Screen Monitors”. For collections outside Dublin or if in any doubt please call us to discuss.

We recycle the following items. If you have something that is not on the list, please do not hesitate to contact us; we will more than likely will be able to help.

  • Computers, Desktops, Towers, Servers, Laptops, Tablets.
  • Hard Disk Drives.
  • Desktop Printers, Faxes, Scanners, Shredders, Binders, Laminators, Office Fans.
  • All Cables (Computer, Power, Network etc), Keyboards & Mice.
  • Modems, Patch Panels, Routers, Switches, Hubs, WiFi, etc.
  • UPS Battery Back Up Unit.
  • Mobile and Smart Phones (GSM & 3G).
  • Telephones (DECT, PABX, Desk Sets), Video, DVD Players, Projectors.

Outside Greater Dublin Area there is a collection charge of €1 per km distance from Dublin. Again depending on quantities this can be reduced.


Blue Bin:

In addition we can provide you with an IT Recycling “Blue Plastic 4-wheeled Bin (660 litres)”. We offer two separate services:

(A) Monthly Rental (greater Dublin Area) - €30 FREE collections.
Monthly Rental (outside Dublin Area) - €30 plus a collection charge depending on location.
No Collections Charge (must be IT Equipment only)

Or

(B) Once off Drop/Collect Service (Greater Dublin Area) - €50
Once off Drop/Collect Service (outside Dublin Area) - POA
We will drop off, you fill and we collect on request within 2 weeks, IT equipment only.


2. Chargeable Recycling Fees:


The following items due to their hazardous nature are costly to recycle and as a result incur a recycling charge in addition to any collections charges listed above.

Ink/Toner Cartridges: - Minimum Collection Fee of €30 if not accompanied by IT Equipment
Small Inkjet Cartridges - .50c each
Laser Cartridges - €1 each
Large Laser Cartridges/Photocopier Bottles – €3 each

Old CRT Computer Monitors/TV’s - €20 each
Damaged/Faulty Flat Screen TV’s - €20 each
Fridge – Small - €25, Standard- €50 – Large - €150
Bulbs/Lamps/Tubes - €1 each

Again please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any concerns about these charges or if you have a large quantity, we do offer quantity discounts.



3. Photocopiers and Large Floor Standing Printers:


Due to their large size and weight, health and safety guidelines recommend that we have two people present when removing these large and heavy items.

Located on Ground floor, less than 10 x steps – €70
Located in Basement or on 1st, 2nd or 3rd floor (no Lift) – €150
4th Floor + (no Lift) or More than one Copier/Printer – Please request a quotation

Outside Greater Dublin Area there is an additional Collection Charge of €1 per km distance from Dublin.


4. Additional Charges:


The following additional charges may apply if we arrive to collect the equipment as arranged and the designated person is not present, we are unable to gain access to your premises, the equipment is not ready or not at the agreed collection point. We are providing a Free service and would appreciate your cooperation to help keep our collection costs down.

Van unable to park within 100 meters of your doorway - €50

5. Recording of Asset Tags or Serial Numbers of Recycled Items:



As part of our obligation under WEEE legislation we record the weight of the items we remove from your premises and this information is reported on the “Waste Disposal Certificate” that you will receive. This information is also passed onto both the E.P.A. and S.D.C.C. as part of our annual reporting.

Some customers also require a list of the items removed from their premises so their “Asset Register” can be updated. We can provide you with an excel list of the Items that have been removed and recycled for a small charge. We scan in the Asset Number and or Serial Number provided they have a bar code. If you require a manual code to be recorded and or a description there are additional charges which are available on request.

We only record significant assets such as PC’s, Servers, Laptops, Printers, Copiers, Networking equipment and Monitors. We do not record insignificant items such as heaters, fans, parts, white goods, brown goods, boxes of cables, etc.

6. Certified Data Destruction Services:



We offer Five different types of Certified Data Destruction Services.

(A) WipeDrive Individual Data Destruction Certificate for each Hard Disk Drive, generated by WipeDrive Software, suitable for high level sensitive data e.g. Accountants, Solicitors, Schools, State entities etc . There is an administration fee of €15 per Hard Disk for this service. Equipment will be collected from your site and returned securely to our site for Data Destruction. The Certificate will include all details of the hard disk drive including make, model and serial number. The Invoice will be sent out together with the Certificates in the post, normal turnaround time is 14 days.

(B) On Site “Datagone Degaussing Service” for Hard Disk Drives, Data Tapes and Floppy Disks. This service is aimed at very high level sensitive data when you wish to witness the Data Destruction on site. There is a call out fee in Dublin Area of €150 plus a charge of €10 per Hard Disk Drive, €5 per Data Tape and €2 per Floppy Disk to be degaussed. If you have a large quantity please contact us for a quantity discount price. Please see video of our degausser in action. We issue a certificate listing the serial numbers of the hard disk drives and quantities degaussed.

C) Off Site “Datagone Degaussing Service” for Hard Disk Drives, Data Tapes and Floppy Disks. This service is aimed at very high level sensitive data when the Data Destruction is carried out at our secure facility. Costs are €7.50 per Hard Disk Drive, €3 per Data Tape and €1 per Floppy Disk to be degaussed. If you have a large quantity please contact us for a quantity discount price. Please see video of our degausser in action. We issue a certificate listing the serial numbers of the hard disk drives and quantities degaussed.

(D) “On Site” Shredding Service for Hard Disk Drives, Data Tapes and Floppy Disks. This service is aimed at very high level sensitive data when you wish to witness the Data Destruction on site. There is a call out fee in Dublin Area of €250 plus a charge of €20 per Hard Disk Drive, €7.50 per Data Tape and €3 per Floppy Disk to be shredded on site. If you have a large quantity please contact us for a quantity discount price. Please see video of our shredder in action. We issue a certificate listing the serial numbers of the hard disk drives and quantities degaussed.

(E) “Off Site” Shredding Service for Hard Disk Drives, Data Tapes and Floppy Disks. This service is aimed at very high level sensitive data when the Data Destruction is carried out at our secure facility. Costs are €15 per Hard Disk Drive, €6 per Data Tape and €2 per Floppy Disk to be shredded. If you have a large quantity please contact us for a quantity discount price. Notes for On Site Data Destruction

For On Site Degaussing or Shredding you must provide the following:

A. Suitable space for work to be carried out
B. Adequate power supply
C. Please note the shredder weights 370kgs and is 76cm(W) x 125cm(H)
D. Please ensure all doorways/hallways have a minimum clearance of 76cm


5. Disclaimer:


Removing IT and Office Equipment from your premises can be a difficult job. We strongly recommend that you remove any delicate items on our exit route prior to our arrival. We do not accept any liability for any damage that may be caused to equipment, furniture, lifts, doors and or your decor during the removal process.

All prices subject to VAT at 23%.
